every time I open my mailbox I'm reminded that I need to get a proper lock instead of the cheapest one I could find, because, well, look how secure this key is

@ChlorideCull besides that, that key is so bad it would be cheaper and easier to rake the lock open than it would be to make a copy of that key.
That's like, worse than USPS mailbox standard lock/keys, which are also pretty terrible.
@rantingsteve yeah this is just a non-descript "locker door lock", the lock the mailman uses is a different one

before you inform me that posting a picture of my key allows anyone to copy it, you might want to know that the mailman leaves all my valuable mail sitting outside of it anyways because it usually doesn't fit, they just balance it on the radiator next to the mailboxes
